I have heard that the only one who likes change is a wet baby. Good news, we qualify! Harmony Church is just approaching 3 years of age, get ready to blow out the candles. With our upcoming birthday we realized that there are always changes that need to be looked at! This year our focus is on changing things that will make Harmony more open to the non Christian and to the new believer. We will be trying out new formats for Sunday, new worship ideas and even a few surprises during the service.What does this mean to the person who attends Harmony? It does not mean that we will stop preaching God’s word or staying true to our 3 main goals as a church: MGLG, Use our gifts and reach those who do not know Christ. What it does mean is that we need you to begin to understand that these changes are for you and those you come in contact with. We do not want to change just for change sake, but rather we want to change so that you are more comfortable inviting your friends to church.
Where’s Waldo? Remember that book? While in the middle of changes we are not going to point the all out – you will have to keep your eyes peeled to see if you notice all of them. Tell us what you think when you do and if you have any suggestions that will help us reach our community for Christ we are open.
Change is the key to growth in all areas of life. You cannot grow if you do not change. We are gearing up for some serious growth here at Harmony – strap in and get ready to see God move!
