There is a “moment” that every minister experiences when addressing a crowd of people. If you are in the crowd, you may not realize that we see it, sense it – feel it. It’s what I can only define as a “wow” moment. You are probably experiencing it too but, from a different angle. You see, it’s the moment when we recognize that, “wow – they’re getting it!” The “it” mentioned is the topic or spiritual principal that we are trying to get through to you. And when you “get it” that’s one of the things that makes Pastors realize why we do what we do.Believe it or not, this same phenomenon happens in a children’s ministry setting as well – A setting much like KidFusion. You may not think that this can happen – because they’re kids. To be perfectly honest – there are Sundays when I am almost toward the end of the sermon and I am starting to doubt that anything significant is really happening. But then it happens: Sometimes, slowly at first – but, it soon accelerates and it cuts right through the object lessons, stories, humor and media. Suddenly, I get that sense, “ah-ha! They’re getting it!” Those are the moments I live for.
